Katie Reinesto, Preschool for All Teacher

"Mary began at age 3 in my Preschool For All classroom in the Fall of 2014.  At that time she was unintelligible to her teachers and peers.  Ms. Toomey pushed into our classroom working closely with Mary during play.  She also sent home ideas for her parents to continue to support her language growth.  Our program implements a 1 minute timed vocabulary assessment in which the child must identify the object on the flash card.  Mary’s results are as follows:

3-Years-Old

Fall 2014: 0 Picture Words (Well Below Average)

Winter 2015: 6 Picture Words (Well Below Average)

Spring 2015: 26 Picture Words (Average)

4-Years-Old

Fall 2015: 18 Picture Words (Below Average)

Winter 2016: 34 Picture Words (Above Average)

Spring 2016: 35 Picture Words (Above Average)"
